A railway officer aged 34 came to my clinic with a chronic complaint of pain, itching, and redness of the throat. He had this complaint on and off since childhood. Now, complaints had increased for one month. One of my patients is his co-worker. He referred him to me for homoeopathic treatment. He visited my clinic on January 3, 2023.
He had redness, pain, and itching in his throat for one month when the history was taken. He has a tendency to clear his throat continuously. He suffered the most in the morning, at night, and on rainy and winter days. His complaints were from allergies to dust and fumes. He was feeling better in the afternoon. Along with throat complaints, he had itching in the nose with sneezing. He has a deviated nasal septum.
He also had burning pain in the epigastric region, which was aggravated on an empty stomach. Due to irregular food habits and shift duties, he had hard stools and bleeding per rectum.
In his physical generals he has perspiration in the axillae. He has a good appetite. He has a desire for fish and chicken. He has a specific aversion to meat and coffee. He has a thirst for a large quantity of water. He has insufficient stools and sometimes has to sit for a long time. His sleep was normal, and he awoke early in the morning. He had dreams of flying through the air. He had predictive dreams. He can’t tolerate a cold atmosphere.
In his mental generals, he was an introvert, and anger was marked in him.
In his past history, he had malaria, pustular acne, and COVID 19.
In his family history, his father has a history of tuberculosis and brain haemorrhage. His father is k/c/o DM and has hypertension. His paternal grandfather has eczema.
From above totality, he was prescribed his constitutional medicine Nat Sulf on 3/1/23.
On his very first follow up after ten days. His general symptoms were totally improved. he has some sneezing. Throat complaints improved.
On his next follow-up after one month, he was absolutely normal.
